Dorchester survives Mt.Brydges comeback, wins 4-3Tritownship Sat, Feb 27, 2016 Story by Narrative Science.
The Mt.Brydges Bulldogs tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Dorchester Dolphins held on for a 4-3 victory. A goal by Derek Todosichuk put Dorchester up 4-1 in the second period, but Mt.Brydges pulled to within one on Randy Hicks's tally 3:15 into the third period. The win gave the Dolphins a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series. Dorchester was helped by Lucas Wilson, who tallied two goals. Wilson scored the first of his two goals at 8:09 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Wilson's next tally made the score 2-1 Dorchester with 18:47 left in the second period. Todosichuk assisted on the tally. Dorchester additionally got points from Todosichuk, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Dorchester also got a goal from Tyler Loucks as well. More assists for Dorchester came via Tyler Blue, Wade Russell, and Chris Carreiro, who contributed one each. The Bulldogs kept the Dolphins' goalie busy throughout the game, and Riley Brown made 28 saves on 31 shots. Mt.Brydges was helped by Alex Cox, who registered two goals. Cox scored the first of his two goals at 19 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Mt.Brydges. Mike Vandenelzen picked up the assist. Cox's next tally made the score 4-2 Dorchester with 4:11 left in the second period. The Bulldogs earned a power play opportunity when Todosichuk was put in the box for slashing. Hicks provided the assist. Mt.Brydges also got points from Hicks, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, Mt.Brydges received assists from Conor Rankin and Antoine Brochu, who each chipped in one. Dorchester incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Ryan McGrath rejected 21 shots on goal for Mt.Brydges. The Bulldogs incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
