Poulin leads Les Canadiennes over Toronto Furies, 5-1

Les Canadiennes' Marie-Philip Poulin had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in her team's 5-1 win over Toronto Furies.

Poulin found the back of the net 3:40 into the third period to make the score 4-0 Les Canadiennes and again while 5:55 into the third to make the score 5-0 Les Canadiennes.

After the loss made the series score 1-0 in the best of three series, Toronto Furies faces elimination next time out.

Les Canadiennes forced Toronto Furies' goalies to work without much rest, getting 34 shots and forcing 29 saves. Christina Kessler made 23 stops and Sonja van der Bliek made six.

Les Canadiennes additionally got points from Ann-Sophie Bettez, who also registered one goal and one assist. Les Canadiennes also got a goal from Caroline Ouellette as well. More assists for Les Canadiennes came via Lauriane Rougeau, Kim Deschenes, Noemie Marin, Julie Chu, and Karell Emard, who each chipped in one.

Charline Labonte recorded 14 saves for Les Canadiennes. Les Canadiennes incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Toronto Furies incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
