M1 Lebanon Valley College outlasts M1 Ohio University, 3-2

The M1 Lebanon Valley College Flying Dutchmen gutted out a close 3-2 win against the M1 Ohio University Bobcats.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Bryan Hovanec secured the win for M1 Lebanon Valley College with a goal in the third period.

The Flying Dutchmen were led by Hovanec, who had one goal. Hovanec scored 14:34 into the third period to make the score 3-2 M1 Lebanon Valley College. Paul Hefferin picked up the assist.

M1 Ohio University was unable to stop M1 Lebanon Valley College from sending pucks towards the net, and the Flying Dutchmen eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

M1 Lebanon Valley College also got points from Bradley Nolan, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Zack McKown, who also registered one goal and one assist.

The Bobcats put 50 shots on net during the contest, more than the 2.0 they average per game.

M1 Ohio University was helped by Gabe Lampron, who tallied one goal. Lampron scored 9:12 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Joey Breslin provided the assist. M1 Ohio University additionally got points from Breslin, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, M1 Ohio University received assists from Tommy Pokorney and Patrick Spellacy, who each chipped in one.

Chase Wilson made 48 saves for M1 Lebanon Valley College on 50 shots. The Flying Dutchmen incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Aaron Alkema rejected 38 shots on goal for the Bobcats. M1 Ohio University totaled 27 minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
