Glanbrook erases deficit to stun Hagersville, 4-3

The Hagersville Hawks could not hold down the Glanbrook Rangers, and Rangers erased a two-goal deficit en route to a 4-3 win.

Glanbrook never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Rangers was down 3-1 after a goal by Hagersville's Cole Martin at 2:41 in the third period. Glanbrook tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Noah Matteson at 7:12 in the third period. The Rangers netted the game winner on the power play at 8:54 in the third period on a goal by Matteson.

After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, the Hawks face elimination next time out.

Glanbrook was paced by Brandon Kolaski, who tallied one goal.

Hagersville was unable to stop the Rangers from sending pucks towards the net, and Glanbrook eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

Glanbrook also got points from Garnet Batrynchuk, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Glanbrook also got a goal from Brad Parish as well. Other players who recorded assists for Glanbrook were Jeff May, who had one.

The Hawks' offense rang up 37 shots on the Rangers' net.

Derek Friesen also scored for Hagersville. More assists for Hagersville came via Bailey Fletcher and Mitch Green, who each chipped in one.

Zach Moore made 34 saves for Glanbrook on 37 shots. The Rangers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Hagersville's Ryan Guy stopped 29 shots out of the 33 that he faced. The Hawks incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
