Greca's goals lift Grand Valley State University to 3-0 victory over Davenport University

The Grand Valley State University Lakers relied on the scoring touch of Tea Greca, who netted two goals, to beat the Davenport University Panthers, 3-0.

Greca scored on the power play at 10:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Grand Valley State University and again while 10:00 into the third to make the score 3-0 Grand Valley State University.

Grand Valley State University excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Lakers' offense rang up 44 shots on Davenport University's net.

Grand Valley State University also got a goal from Kendra Myers as well. In addition, Grand Valley State University received assists from Stacey Mathieu, who had two and Alexa Tenwalde and Monika Reaume, who each chipped in one.

The Panthers were held below their usual level of production. Davenport University puts an average of 2.1 pucks into the net per game. The Panthers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game.

Grand Valley State University's Lauren Allen stopped 24 shots out of the 24 that he faced. The Lakers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Karley Ferguson made 41 saves for Davenport University on 44 shots.
