Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the M1 Arkansas ^ University of Razorbacks defeated M1 Non-ACHA Team in a shootout 5-4 (2-1 SO).

The shootout lasted for five attempts between the teams. M1 Non-ACHA Team's shootout goal was scored by Number Twenty-Eight. M1 Arkansas ^ University of's other shootout goal was scored by Luc Gradisar.

Matt Robinson had a great game for the Razorbacks, netting two goals. Robinson scored at 12:42 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Arkansas ^ University of and again while 12:37 into the second to make the score 3-2 M1 Arkansas ^ University of.
