Schweda's hat trick boosts Port Perry over Uxbridge, 4-1Uxbridge Arena Fri, Feb 19, 2016 Story by Narrative Science.
The Uxbridge Bruins could not stop the Port Perry Mojacks' Kyle Schweda, who tallied a hat trick in a 4-1 win. Schweda's first goal came 7:44 into the first period. He then added goals at 17:00 into the first and at 19:39 into the third.After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Uxbridge faces elimination next time out. Port Perry was led by goalie Brett Chandler, who finished with 29 saves while allowing one goal. Chandler certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.35 entering the contest. Port Perry also got a goal from Graham Lamers as well. In addition, Port Perry received assists from Ethan Ramsden, who had two and Dan Harris, Lucas Berkers, Ben Sheremeta, Liam Schweda, and Konrad Piorkowski, who each chipped in one. The Bruins were led by Patrick Bolahood, who scored the team's only goal. Bolahood scored on the power play 13:58 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Port Perry. An interference penalty on Piorkowski had put Uxbridge on the power play. Alex Siblock picked up the assist. The Mojacks incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Branden Francey made 22 saves for the Bruins on 25 shots. Uxbridge incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
