Estes leads Haverford High over Penncrest, 8-2

Mitchell Estes was all over the ice for Haverford High, as he tallied one goal and three assists in Haverford High's 8-2 win over Penncrest.

Estes beat Mark Dumont with a shot 12:15 into the second period to make the score 6-1 Haverford High. Frankie McVeigh assisted on the tally. Estes dished an assist on McVeigh's goal that made the score 1-1 at 1:48 into the second period. He then added assists on McVeigh's goal at 10:49 into the second and on Shane Moran's goal at 12:39 into the third.

Haverford High also got points from Johnny Scarduzio, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Henry DeVoe, who also finished with one goal and one assist, McVeigh, who also registered two goals and one assist, and Moran, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Haverford High included Michael Dell and Kevin Cunningham, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Haverford High were Marcus DiPrimio and Kenny Kissinger, who contributed one each.

Penncrest did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Penncrest averages 4.5 goals per game. Penncrest did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 13 shots on net to force 11 saves.

Penncrest was helped by Austin Mazzulo, who had one goal. Mazzulo scored 1:19 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Penncrest. Matthew Dougherty picked up the assist. Jack Fletcher also scored for Penncrest. In addition, Penncrest received assists from Ian McDougall and Ryan Dumont, who each chipped in one.

Tim Osifchok recorded 11 saves for Haverford High. Haverford High incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Dumont rejected 17 shots on goal for Penncrest. Penncrest incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
