Springfield blows out Radnor, 7-1Aston Ice Works Mon, Feb 22, 2016 Springfield had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-1 win over Radnor. Springfield got the win behind a great game by Tyler Riddle, who had two goals and one assist. Riddle scored the first of his two goals at 15:04 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Springfield. Andrew Astrino provided the assist. Riddle's next tally made the score 6-1 Springfield with 4:23 left in the second period. Springfield had gotten the advantage when Radnor's Jack Miles was sent off for tripping. Kevin Brown assisted on the tally. Springfield also got points from Jim Schickling, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Brown, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Springfield also got a goal from Joseph Cavaliere as well. More assists for Springfield came via Katelyn Brown and Joe Rice, who each chipped in one. Radnor's offense operated below its season average. Radnor puts an average of 4.2 pucks into the net per game. Radnor was led by Brandon Curtis, who scored the team's only goal. Curtis scored on the power play 4:44 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Springfield. A roughing penalty on Dan Barrett had put Radnor on the power play. Teddy Girton picked up the assist. Calin Losacco made 21 saves for Springfield on 22 shots. Springfield incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Martin Connor recorded 14 saves for Radnor. Radnor incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
