Sun Valley holds on for 4-3 win against KennettPatriot Ice NHL Mon, Feb 22, 2016 Sun Valley survived a determined comeback attempt by Kennett on the way to a 4-3 win. A goal by Eric DeLellis put Sun Valley up 4-2 in the third period, but Kennett pulled to within one on Forest Gheen-Regouski's tally 13:45 into the third period. DeLellis had two goals and one assist to lead Sun Valley. DeLellis scored the first of his two goals at 3:16 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Sun Valley. Nicholas Daluisio assisted on the tally. DeLellis' next tally made the score 4-2 Sun Valley with 13:38 left in the third period. Sun Valley's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Kennett power plays. Sun Valley kept Kennett's goalie busy throughout the game, and Sean Edmonds made 39 saves on 43 shots. Sun Valley could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game. Sun Valley also got a goal from Nicholas Malorgio as well. In addition, Sun Valley received assists from Zachary Costa, who had one. Sun Valley was unable to stop Kennett from sending pucks towards the net, and Kennett eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. Kennett also had goals scored by Luke Borman and Ryan Johnson, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Kennett were Scott Dreisbach, Pearce Rush, Mike Zirolli, Jack Dreisbach, and Drew Moskey, who each chipped in one. Nicholas Tkacz made 34 saves for Sun Valley on 37 shots. Sun Valley registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Kennett incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
