North Jersey Avalanche (MM) survives Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) comeback, wins 2-1

Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but North Jersey Avalanche (MM) held on for a 2-1 victory.

A goal by Wade Novak put North Jersey Avalanche (MM) up 2-0 in the third period, but Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) pulled to within one on Alex Peterson's tally 17:08 into the third period.

The win gave North Jersey Avalanche (MM) a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) was stymied by North Jersey Avalanche (MM)'s netminder Joshua Sarlo, who stopped 34 shots during the victory. The solid play of Sarlo will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.11.
