St. Louis AAA Blues (mm) holds on for 4-3 win against Cleveland Barons (mm)

St. Louis AAA Blues (mm) survived a determined comeback attempt by Cleveland Barons (mm) on the way to a 4-3 win.

A goal by Zach Lodes put St. Louis AAA Blues (mm) up 4-2 in the third period, but Cleveland Barons (mm) pulled to within one on Donny Dickens's tally 9:15 into the third period.

St. Louis AAA Blues (mm) stifled Cleveland Barons (mm)'s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Cleveland Barons (mm)'s defense shut down St. Louis AAA Blues (mm)'s forwards for much of the game, and St. Louis AAA Blues (mm) got off only five shots during the contest. St. Louis AAA Blues (mm) could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game.

St. Louis AAA Blues (mm) was led by Ryan Roth, who grabbed two goals. Roth scored the first of his two goals at 10:04 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Louis AAA Blues (mm). Nathan Sargent picked up the assist. Roth's next tally made the score 3-2 St. Louis AAA Blues (mm) with 15:01 left in the second period. Mark Capkovic provided the assist. Logan Ritchie also scored for St. Louis AAA Blues (mm). In addition, St. Louis AAA Blues (mm) received assists from Caden Duggan, Ben Jones, and Noah Roofe, who each chipped in one.

Cleveland Barons (mm) put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow St. Louis AAA Blues (mm) to score on any of its three power plays. Cleveland Barons (mm) did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting five shots on net to force two saves.

Cleveland Barons (mm) also got a goal from Drew Magyar as well. More assists for Cleveland Barons (mm) came via Colin Price, who had two and Henry Frontini, Michael Patrick Norman, and Timmy Manning, who contributed one each.

Andrew Shapiro recorded two saves for St. Louis AAA Blues (mm). Chad Dodero made one save for Cleveland Barons (mm) on five shots. Cleveland Barons (mm) incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
