LA Jr. Kings (MM) beat CT Wolfpack (MM), 2-1, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout. A goal 9:00 into the first period by Jared Christy proved to be the game winner, and powered LA Jr. Kings (MM) to the victory. Wyatt Light provided the assist.LA Jr. Kings (MM) was led by goalie Robert Jacobson, who finished with 33 saves while allowing one goal. Despite the solid performance, Jacobson will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.11 entering the contest. LA Jr. Kings (MM) was led by Auston Ghirardelli, who racked up one goal and one assist. Ghirardelli scored 15:44 into the first period to make the score 2-0 LA Jr. Kings (MM). CT Wolfpack (MM)'s defense shut down LA Jr. Kings (MM)'s forwards for much of the game, and LA Jr. Kings (MM) got off only 12 shots during the contest. CT Wolfpack (MM) excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. LA Jr. Kings (MM) was unable to stop CT Wolfpack (MM) from sending pucks towards the net, and CT Wolfpack (MM) eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.
