M1 Ohio University rolls over M1 Iowa State University, 5-2

The M1 Ohio University Bobcats had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-2 win over the M1 Iowa State University Cyclones.

M1 Ohio University's penalty kill excelled, as the Bobcats gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

M1 Ohio University was sparked by Michael Harris, who finished with one goal. Harris scored on the power play 14:53 into the first period to make the score 3-1 M1 Ohio University. The Bobcats had gotten the advantage when M1 Iowa State University's Eero Helanto was sent off for elbowing. Patrick Spellacy assisted on the tally.

Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals. The 36 shots that M1 Ohio University put on net surpassed the Bobcats' average of 5.1 shots per game this season.

Others who scored for M1 Ohio University included Tyler Pecka, Reilly Moore, Jake Faiella, and Matthew Rudin, who scored one goal each. In addition, M1 Ohio University received assists from Liam Geither and Michael Palasics, who each chipped in one and Joey Breslin and Matthew Hartman, who contributed two each.

M1 Iowa State University was helped by Jake Bruhn, who registered one goal. Bruhn scored 39 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Iowa State University. Cory Sellers provided the assist. M1 Iowa State University also got points from Sellers, who also racked up one goal and one assist.
