M3-Purdue University tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but M3-Notre Dame University of held on for a 5-4 victory.

M3-Notre Dame University of took a 5-2 lead during the third period, only to have M3-Purdue University storm back on a Nicholas Schneider goal zero seconds into the third period to pull to one goal down.

M3-Notre Dame University of got the win with help from a great game by Nicholas Rice, who had two goals and one assist. Rice scored the first of his two goals at zero seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 M3-Notre Dame University of. Chris Rectenwald picked up the assist. Rice's next tally made the score 2-0 M3-Notre Dame University of with 20:00 left in the first period. Brian Lee assisted on the tally.
