The M1 Rhode Island ^ University of Rams survived a determined comeback attempt by the M1 Rutgers University Scarlet Knights on the way to a 3-2 win.

A goal by Robbie Buehrer put M1 Rhode Island ^ University of up 3-1 in the third period, but M1 Rutgers University pulled to within one on Mitch Crenshaw's tally 14:13 into the third period.

The Rams got the win on the strength of a great game by Buehrer, who had two goals and one assist. Buehrer scored the first of his two goals at 8:13 into the second period to make the score 1-1.
