The Exeter Hawks jumped out to a five-point advantage by the end of the first period and beat the Port Stanley Sailors, 10-2. The win by Exeter clinched the best of seven series at 4-0. Tyler Coleman had a great game for the Hawks, netting four goals. Coleman notched his first tally 1:29 into the second period. He then added goals at 8:48 into the second, at 4:40 into the third, and at 6:39 into the third. Port Stanley's six penalties came back to haunt it, as the Sailors let up four goals while on the penalty kill. Exeter stifled Port Stanley's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Sailors were unable to stop the Hawks from sending pucks towards the net, and Exeter eventually piled up 51 shots on goal. The Hawks' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. Exeter also got points from Austin Elkin, who also grabbed one goal and four assists to lead the team in points and Tyler Kettler, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Exeter included Brett Dalton, who had two and Matt Clarke and Liam Melady, who scored one goal each. In addition, Exeter received assists from Trevor Fleming, Max Bannon, austin carter, Cory Burr, and Cody Perriam, who each chipped in one and Frasier Lewis, Max Naus, and Chase Thornton, who contributed two each. Port Stanley forced Exeter goalie Fleming to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots. The Sailors were helped by Tyler Beaulieu, who registered two goals. Beaulieu scored the first of his two goals at 16:19 into the second period to make the score 8-1 Exeter. Anders Adjia picked up the assist. Beaulieu's next tally made the score 8-2 Exeter with 15:31 left in the third period. Lucas Knight assisted on the tally. More assists for Port Stanley came via Tanner Turley, who had two. Fleming recorded 47 saves for the Hawks. Exeter incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Hawks ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Clarke was ejected from the game. Port Stanley's Dylan Hoover stopped 41 shots out of the 51 that he faced. The Sailors incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
