A four-goal first period deficit cost the Campbellford Rebels, which could not recover and fell to the Gananoque Islanders, 10-2. Gananoque got the win thanks to a great game by Matt Carter, who had one goal and three assists. Carter scored 15:43 into the first period to make the score 5-0 Gananoque. Geoff Clemison assisted on the tally. Campbellford's power play was ineffective against the Islanders' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.
