The Ayr Centennials had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-1 win over the Burford Bulldogs. After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, Burford faces elimination next time out. Ayr's Mitch Figueirdo was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 43 saves and let only one puck past him. Figueirdo certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.31 entering the contest. The Centennials' penalty kill excelled, as Ayr gave up zero goals despite allowing 13 power plays. The Centennials stifled the Bulldogs' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Ayr's offense rang up 56 shots on Burford's net. The defensemen of the Centennials were also effective in the Bulldogs' zone, and came away with two goals. Ayr was led by Jake Whibbs, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Whibbs scored 14:05 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Ayr. Cash Seraphim picked up the assist. Ayr additionally got points from Riley Clipper, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Seraphim, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Ayr included Nolan Ferris, John Nay, and Sean Mitchell, who each put in one. More assists for Ayr came via Jackson White, who had two and Connor MacLean, Tyler Harrison, Jordan Pettitt, and Brendan Schaefer, who each chipped in one. Burford's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Ayr power plays. The Bulldogs' offense rang up 44 shots on the Centennials' net. Burford was led by Jesse Brooks, who scored the team's only goal. Brooks scored 15:07 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Ayr. David Denardi assisted on the tally. Ayr ended with 87 minutes in penalty time with 16 minors and one major. The Centennials ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Mitch Klie was ejected from the game. Michael Black made 50 saves for the Bulldogs on 56 shots. Burford ended with 61 minutes in penalty time with eight minors and one major. Team's Matt Zilke and Brooks were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
