Moore leads Kincardine over Goderich, 10-0

Behind a great game by Shawn Moore, who had two goals and four assists, the Kincardine Bulldogs defeated the Goderich Flyers, 10-0.

Moore scored at 12 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Kincardine and again while 13:02 into the third to make the score 9-0 Kincardine.

The win gave Kincardine a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 17:11 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts.

Goderich was unable to stop the Bulldogs from sending pucks towards the net, and Kincardine eventually piled up 39 shots on goal. The Bulldogs got their opportunities on the power play, but did not convert any of their 10 chances. Kincardine's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in five goals.

Kincardine also got points from Logan Freiburger, who also had one goal and two assists. Kincardine also had goals scored by Eric Langridge, who had three and Shawn Rooke, Shane Vollmer, Tyler Fregona, and Mike Osadca, who each put in one. In addition, Kincardine received assists from Dalton Hnatko, Brady Richards, Derrick Bernath, Patrick Wiejak, and Matthew Mah, who contributed one each and Gerrit Satosek and Brett Burrows, who each chipped in two.

The Flyers stifled the Bulldogs' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Jacob Hutchings rejected 22 shots on goal for Kincardine. The Bulldogs ended with 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major. For Kincardine, Hnatko was ejected from the game. Goderich's Ben Errington stopped 29 shots out of the 39 that he faced. The Flyers totaled 57 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Goderich ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Ethan Scott was ejected from the game.
