Sweeney's goals lift M2 Westfield State University to 5-2 victory over M2 Springfield College

Behind a great game by Connor Sweeney, who had two goals, M2 Westfield State University defeated M2 Springfield College, 5-2.

Sweeney found the back of the net 3:27 into the second period to make the score 1-0 M2 Westfield State University and again while 3:53 into the second to make the score 2-0 M2 Westfield State University.

M2 Westfield State University was efficient when it shot the puck, scoring its goals on only five shots.

The defensemen of M2 Westfield State University were also effective in M2 Springfield College's zone, and came away with two goals.

M2 Westfield State University additionally got points from Colin Pierce, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for M2 Westfield State University included Tyler Reopel and Schyler Reilly, who scored one goal each. In addition, M2 Westfield State University received assists from Cole Connolly and Kristian Houda, who each chipped in two.

M2 Springfield College was helped by AJ Massaro, who grabbed one goal. Massaro scored on the power play 11:23 into the second period to make the score 3-2 M2 Westfield State University. Nate Farrington picked up the assist. M2 Springfield College also got a goal from Sean Johnson as well. Other players who recorded assists for M2 Springfield College were Paul Hanson, Andrew Schmidt, and Charlie Murphy, who contributed one each.

M2 Westfield State University avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays. M2 Springfield College ended with no penalties and went 1-for-0 on the power play.
