M2 Northeastern University made the score 4-1 on a goal by Jake Jaeger at 7:30 in the third period, and M2 Merrimack College got as close as 4-2 when Jt Lynch scored 7:46 into the third period. M2 Northeastern University's penalty kill excelled, as M2 Northeastern University gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. M2 Northeastern University could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game. M2 Northeastern University was helped by Sean Daly, who registered one goal. Daly scored 14:24 into the second period to make the score 3-1 M2 Northeastern University. Brian Miller picked up the assist. M2 Northeastern University also got points from Miller, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points.
