Behind two goals and one assist from Dan Mederios and one goal and two assists from Matt Rimac, the Hagersville Hawks downed the Niagara Riverhawks 8-4. Mederios scored the first of his two goals at 17:40 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Hagersville. Derek Friesen picked up the assist. Mederios' next tally made the score 5-2 Hagersville with 2:35 left in the second period. Rimac assisted on the tally. Rimac scored 12:59 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Hagersville. Aaron Panter picked up the assist.The win by Hagersville clinched the best of seven series at 4-1. Niagara's power play was ineffective against the Hawks' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. Hagersville forced the Riverhawks goalie Scott Charanduk to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots. Hagersville also got points from Matt Lemassuir, who also had two goals and one assist, Cole Martin, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Friesen, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Rimac, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Hagersville also got a goal from MIchael Arch as well. Other players who recorded assists for Hagersville were Brayden Hill, Bailey Fletcher, and Scott Stirling, who each chipped in one and Max Gunter and Mitch Green, who contributed two each. Niagara's offense rang up 36 shots on the Hawks' net. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. The Riverhawks were led by Andrew Somerville, who finished with two goals and one assist. Somerville scored the first of his two goals at 6:37 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Hagersville. Bryson Barr assisted on the tally. Somerville's next tally made the score 6-4 Hagersville with 9:48 left in the third period. Alex Cipriano picked up the assist. Niagara additionally got points from Dawson Ethier, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Jarrod Peacock also scored for Niagara. In addition, Niagara received assists from Daniel Volpatti, Brandon McLean, Bailey Sowrey, and Dante Zawadzki, who each chipped in one. Stephen Tierney rejected 32 shots on goal for Hagersville.
