The M1 Towson University Tigers survived a determined comeback attempt by the M1 Penn State University Berks Nittany Lions on the way to a 3-2 win.

M1 Towson University took a 3-1 lead during the third period, only to have M1 Penn State University Berks storm back on a Zachary Higgins goal 19:20 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

Matthew Mcguire had two goals to lead the Tigers to victory.

M1 Towson University racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with six minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. The Tigers surpassed its season average of 15.0 penalty minutes per game. M1 Towson University put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Nittany Lions to score on any of their five power plays.

Michael Chapin also scored for M1 Towson University. More assists for M1 Towson University came via Jeremy Snyder, who had three and Todd Clingerman and Matt Stella, who contributed one each.

M1 Penn State University Berks was often in penalty trouble, totaling six minors and one major for 17 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 15.0 minutes per game the Nittany Lions had been spending in the box. M1 Penn State University Berks' offense rang up 31 shots on the Tigers' net.

The Nittany Lions were helped by Kent Lantz, who grabbed one goal. Lantz scored 17:42 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Logan Morris assisted on the tally. In addition, M1 Penn State University Berks received assists from Jesse Abarca, Eric Kantner, and Tyler Lantz, who each chipped in one.

Tyler Stewardson rejected 29 shots on goal for M1 Towson University. The Tigers registered two goals on five power play opportunities. Justin Golia recorded 23 saves for M1 Penn State University Berks.
