In a game where neither team could get a cushion, East escaped with a 4-3 victory over Midwest. No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Rubin Chavarria at 18:26 of the second period. Dakota Ulmer had two goals to lead East to victory. Ulmer scored at 12:36 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 16:19 into the first to make the score 2-1 East. East kept Midwest's goalie busy throughout the game, and David Johnson made 39 saves on 43 shots. East did not rack up many penalties in the contest, registering a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time. East also got a goal from Corey Siwula as well. Other players who recorded assists for East were Jason Watts, who had two and Mathias Tellstrom, Brendon Block, Michael Tratar, and Dylan Naumovski, who each chipped in one. Midwest forced East's netminders to work in net, totaling 32 shots and forcing 29 saves. Jacob Stack made 11 stops and Kameron Limburg made 18. Midwest did not rack up many penalties in the contest, totaling just one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Midwest was helped by Alex Klaesner, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Klaesner scored 1:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Midwest. Trent Kulczyk assisted on the tally. Midwest additionally got points from Daniel Dunaway, who also had one goal and one assist and Kulczyk, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Midwest received assists from Justin Bioni and Thomas Kolaz, who contributed one each. East registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. Midwest registered zero goals on one power play opportunities.
