Behind a great game by TJ Patterson, who had one goal and four assists, the Picton Pirates defeated the Gananoque Islanders, 10-7. Patterson got on the board by slotting home a power play goal 7:44 into the second period to make the score 4-4. A tripping penalty on Craig Cross had put Picton on the power play. Nate Kellar provided the assist. Patterson dished an assist on Mitch Burke's goal that made the score 1-1 at 4:16 into the first period. He then added assists on Kellar's goal at 9:16 into the first, on Burke's goal at 15:55 into the second, and on Mitch Thompson's goal at 18:26 into the second.The Pirates' offense rang up 40 shots on Gananoque's net. Picton surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Pirates average 3.2 goals per contest. Picton also got points from Thompson, who also registered one goal and three assists, Kellar, who also had one goal and two assists, Nick Devito, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Burke, who also tallied two goals and one assist, and Riley Reynolds, who also registered one goal and one assist. Picton also got a goal from Gavin Ronan as well. More assists for Picton came via Matthew Panetta, Devin McCann, and Mitchell Merry, who each chipped in one. Picton was unable to stop the Islanders from sending pucks towards the net, and Gananoque eventually piled up 51 shots on goal. The Islanders bested their season scoring average. Gananoque averages 4.0 goals per game. The Islanders got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. Gananoque was led by Connor Smith, who finished with one goal and three assists. Smith scored 3:38 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Gananoque. Mike Minns picked up the assist. Gananoque additionally got points from Hunter Drew, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Brody Cross, who also had one goal and two assists.
