M2 Loyola Marymount University survived a determined comeback attempt by M2 California-Los Angeles Univ on the way to a 5-4 win.

A goal by John Lovelace put M2 Loyola Marymount University up 5-2 in the third period, but M2 California-Los Angeles Univ pulled to within one on Nicholas Katzaroff's tally 17:33 into the third period.
