Gananoque downs Napanee in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Chris Boushy gave the Gananoque Islanders a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Napanee Raiders when he scored 3:02 into the extra period.

Gananoque was led by Boushy, who registered one goal and one assist.

The Islanders' offense rang up 32 shots on Napanee's net.

Others who scored for Gananoque included Nick Maillet and Tyson OToole, who scored one goal each. In addition, Gananoque received assists from Kyle Casford, Hunter Drew, Drew Marquette, and Brody Cross, who contributed one each.

The Raiders could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Napanee puts an average of 4.2 pucks into the net per game. The Raiders kept Gananoque's goalie busy throughout the game, and Quinn Cota made 59 saves on 61 shots.

Napanee was helped by Austin Boulard, who had one goal. Boulard scored short handed 18:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Napanee. The Raiders played down a man on Aidan McFarland's slashing. Napanee also got a goal from Justynn Steven as well. More assists for Napanee came via Trent Schutt, who had one.

The Islanders incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Napanee's Cameron Parr stopped 29 shots out of the 32 that he faced. The Raiders incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
