Leocadi's hat trick boosts M3-Suffolk County Community College over M3-Salisbury University, 12-4

Gino Leocadi netted a hat trick to lead M3-Suffolk County Community College over M3-Salisbury University, 12-4.

Leocadi's first goal came 35 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 6:55 into the first and at 12:02 into the third.

Ryan Mattsson frustrated M3-Salisbury University's offense all game, and stopped 30 shots en route to a shutout. Mattsson certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.81 entering the contest.

M3-Suffolk County Community College's penalty kill excelled, as M3-Suffolk County Community College gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

M3-Suffolk County Community College stifled M3-Salisbury University's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. M3-Suffolk County Community College bested its season scoring average. This season, M3-Suffolk County Community College averages 5.2 goals per contest. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with six goals.
