Bell leads M3-Rowan University over M3-Fairfield University, 6-2

Behind a great game by Marty Bell, who had one goal and four assists, M3-Rowan University defeated M3-Fairfield University, 6-2.

Bell got on the board by slotting home a goal 16:25 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M3-Rowan University. Dennis Padick assisted on the tally. Bell dished an assist on Eric Bell's goal that made the score 1-0 M3-Rowan University at 11:20 into the first period. He then added assists on William Murphy's goal at 5:37 into the third, on Bell's goal at 7:07 into the third, and on Brandon Mead's goal at 12:25 into the third.

M3-Rowan University put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow M3-Fairfield University to score on any of its four power plays. M3-Rowan University's offense was clicking better than usual and put 27 shots on goal during the game, better than the 0.6 shots per game it averages.

M3-Rowan University also got points from Padick, who also had one goal and three assists and Bell, who also finished with two goals and one assist. More assists for M3-Rowan University came via Joseph DiPasquale, who had one.

M3-Fairfield University was held below its usual level of production. M3-Fairfield University puts an average of 4.4 pucks into the net per game. By firing 31 shots on goal, M3-Fairfield University exceeded the 0.4 shots it averages per game this year.

M3-Fairfield University was led by Christian Habberstad, who grabbed one goal. Habberstad scored 16:43 into the first period to make the score 2-1 M3-Rowan University. Glenn LaFountain picked up the assist. Scott Kohlhepp also scored for M3-Fairfield University.
