M2 Texas State University downs M3-Texas Tech University in overtime, 6-5 (OT)

M2 Texas State University pulled out a 6-5 (OT) overtime victory over M3-Texas Tech University on a clutch goal by Kyle Hughes.

Although M2 Texas State University was up by as many as two goals in the second period, M3-Texas Tech University kept the game interesting by staging a comeback that ultimately fell short. M3-Texas Tech University pulled to within 4-3 on a goal by Nicholas Loncar at 1:50 in the third period.

Hayden Ray had two goals to lead M2 Texas State University to victory. Ray's tallies came at 11:19 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and 13:54 into the third to make the score 5-5.

M3-Texas Tech University was unable to stop M2 Texas State University from sending pucks towards the net, and M2 Texas State University eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

M2 Texas State University also got points from Dominic Girard, who also had two goals and one assist and Hughes, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Connor Roche also scored for M2 Texas State University. In addition, M2 Texas State University received assists from Scott Brownrigg, Jason Crabtree, and Ehsan Arami, who contributed one each.
