Lamontagne's hat trick boosts M2 Thomas College over M2 Worcester Polytechnic Institute, 12-3

Bryce Lamontagne netted a hat trick to lead M2 Thomas College over M2 Worcester Polytechnic Institute, 12-3.

Lamontagne notched his first tally 17:58 into the first period. He then added goals at 12:17 into the second and at 16:43 into the third.

M2 Thomas College gained an early advantage, leading 4-0 by the end of the first period.

M2 Thomas College's Michael Small was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 26 saves and let only one puck past him. Small certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.95 entering the contest.

M2 Thomas College forced M2 Worcester Polytechnic Institute's netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, taking 46 shots and forcing 34 saves.
