Omaha AAA 16U downs Rocky Mountain Roughriders 16U, 2-1

Kyle Kawamura finished with one point to lead Omaha AAA 16U to a 2-1 victory over Rocky Mountain Roughriders 16U.

Omaha AAA 16U forced Rocky Mountain Roughriders 16U goalie Andrew Miller to work between the pipes, taking 45 shots.

Omaha AAA 16U also got a goal from Logan Will as well. In addition, Omaha AAA 16U received assists from Gabe Wahl, who had two and Austin Nault and Coltan Wilkie, who each chipped in one.

Rocky Mountain Roughriders 16U managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Rocky Mountain Roughriders 16U wound up below its season average of 15.0 penalty minutes per game.

Rocky Mountain Roughriders 16U was led by Kevin Ness, who scored the team's only goal. Ness scored on the power play 13:52 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Rocky Mountain Roughriders 16U.
