Austin Nault scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and Omaha AAA 16U held off the challenges of Rocky Mountain Roughriders 16U in a tough 3-1 win.

A goal 1:18 into the first period by Nault proved to be the game winner, and powered Omaha AAA 16U to the victory. Gabe Wahl picked up the assist.

Kyle Kawamura had a great game for Omaha AAA 16U, netting two goals. Kawamura scored at 5:37 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Omaha AAA 16U and again while 16:43 into the third to make the score 3-1 Omaha AAA 16U.

Omaha AAA 16U managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Omaha AAA 16U ended up below its season average of 13.0 penalty minutes per game.

In addition, Omaha AAA 16U received assists from Jackson Decker and Garrett Anderson, who contributed one each.

Rocky Mountain Roughriders 16U stifled Omaha AAA 16U's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Rocky Mountain Roughriders 16U was led by Nathan Hodges, who scored the team's only goal. Hodges scored 9:05 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Omaha AAA 16U. Adam Millar assisted on the tally.
