Madison Capitols 18U blows out Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 18U, 5-1

Madison Capitols 18U had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 18U.

Kevin Ford had two goals to lead Madison Capitols 18U to victory. Ford scored on the power play at 14:32 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Madison Capitols 18U and again while 12:49 into the second to make the score 4-0 Madison Capitols 18U.

Madison Capitols 18U pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 22 penalty minutes.

Madison Capitols 18U excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Madison Capitols 18U's offense rang up 53 shots on Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 18U's net.

Madison Capitols 18U also got points from Kasey Fitzjerrells, who also grabbed one goal and one assist.
