Washington Little Capitals 16U vanquishes HC Dallas 16U in shootout, 4-3

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Washington Little Capitals 16U defeated HC Dallas 16U in a shootout 4-3.

The shootout lasted for 12 attempts between the teams. HC Dallas 16U got a shootout goal from Dustin Muriel. Washington Little Capitals 16U also got a shootout goal from Theodor Lenz.

Washington Little Capitals 16U overcame a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. Washington Little Capitals 16U trailed 3-2 after a goal by HC Dallas 16U's Joey McIntyre at 13:20 in the second period. Washington Little Capitals 16U tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Thomas Martin at 16:41 in the third period.

Washington Little Capitals 16U's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five HC Dallas 16U power plays.

Washington Little Capitals 16U was led by Drew Lorinchak, who racked up one goal and one assist. Lorinchak scored 6:30 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Griffin Long picked up the assist.
