Hill nets hat trick, leads Ridley College to 4-2 win over St. Andrews College

A hat trick by Connor Hill was the highlight in Tigers' 4-2 win against the St. Andrews College Saints.

Hill notched his first tally 6:35 into the second period. He then added goals at 9:13 into the second and at 8:04 into the third.

The Ridley College Tigers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Brandon Skubel also scored for Ridley College. Other players who recorded assists for Ridley College were Hunter Bettens, Adam Pys, Zack McGrath, Will Lochead, and Matvey Skripchenko, who contributed one each.

St. Andrews College was held below its usual level of production. The Saints put an average of 4.5 pucks into the net per game. St. Andrews College's offense rang up 36 shots on Ridley College's net.

The Saints were helped by Alex MacDonald, who tallied one goal. MacDonald scored 2:30 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Ridley College. Lucas Thorne picked up the assist. St. Andrews College also got a goal from William Sirman as well. In addition, St. Andrews College received assists from Mack Falconer and Reid Yochim, who each chipped in one.

Chris McGonigle rejected 34 shots on goal for the Tigers. Ridley College incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Cole Chapman made 17 saves for St. Andrews College on 21 shots. The Saints incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
