M1 Liberty University holds on for 3-2 win against M1 Delaware ^ University of

The M1 Delaware ^ University of Blue Hens tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the M1 Liberty University Flames held on for a 3-2 victory.

A goal by Grant Garvin put M1 Liberty University up 3-0 in the first period, but M1 Delaware ^ University of pulled to within one on Dan Going's tally 18:28 into the third period.

The Flames put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Blue Hens to score on any of their four power plays. M1 Liberty University put 31 shots on net during the contest, more than the 16.3 it averages per game.

The Flames were led by Danny Logan, who finished with one goal and one assist. Logan scored 8:00 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Liberty University. Steven Bellew picked up the assist. Owen Harris also scored for M1 Liberty University. In addition, M1 Liberty University received assists from Zechariah Roberts, who had one and Chase Harris, who had two.

M1 Delaware ^ University of excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. By firing 29 shots on goal, the Blue Hens exceeded the 2.1 shots they average per game this year. M1 Delaware ^ University of could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 20 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Blue Hens were helped by Cole Zucker, who had one goal. Zucker scored 15:42 into the third period to make the score 3-1 M1 Liberty University. More assists for M1 Delaware ^ University of came via Justin Hoch, who had one.

M1 Liberty University's Matthew Pinel stopped 27 shots out of the 29 that he faced. The Flames ended with 21 minutes in penalty time with eight minors and one major. Dylan Troiano rejected 28 shots on goal for M1 Delaware ^ University of.
