Behind a great game by Matt Antonacci, who had four goals and four assists, the M3-Tampa-University of Spartans defeated M3-Embry-Riddle, 15-3.

Antonacci's first goal came 2:20 into the first period. He then added goals at 11:41 into the first, at 13:38 into the second, and at 18:00 into the third.

M3-Embry-Riddle was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as M3-Tampa-University of was able to score five times while on the power play.

The Spartans forced their penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up seven minors and one major for 39 minutes in penalty time. M3-Tampa-University of had been averaging 14.0 minutes in penalties per game. The Spartans stifled M3-Embry-Riddle's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. M3-Tampa-University of's goal total was higher than its season average. The Spartans have scored at the pace of 6.7 goals per game during the current campaign. M3-Tampa-University of's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in five goals. The Spartans put 85 shots on net during the contest, more than the 6.5 they average per game.

M3-Tampa-University of also got points from Evan Stawarz, who also had one goal and one assist, Jared Eckert, who also registered one goal and one assist, Garrett Torrico, who also grabbed two goals and four assists, Corey Tudor, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Jacob Peterson, who also tallied two goals and one assist, and Anthony Aliantro, who also had one goal and two assists. Alexander Carde also scored for M3-Tampa-University of. More assists for M3-Tampa-University of came via Matt Fenby, who had three, John Walsh, Devon Calvert, and Andrew Rodriguez, who contributed one each, and Kyler Wujciga, Logan Underwood, Joshua Santoro, and J.B Cline, who each chipped in two.

M3-Embry-Riddle could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 20 minutes in penalties during the game.

M3-Embry-Riddle was led by Robert Burr, who registered two goals and one assist. Burr scored the first of his two goals at 12:22 into the first period to make the score 3-1 M3-Tampa-University of. Burr's next tally made the score 5-2 M3-Tampa-University of with 10:16 left in the second period. M3-Embry-Riddle also got a goal from Ryan White as well. In addition, M3-Embry-Riddle received assists from Cody Sturmer, who had one.

M3-Tampa-University of's starting goalie, Chris Hendrix, made seven saves and finished with the win before he was taken out in favor of Peter Robertson, who stopped seven shots. M3-Embry-Riddle's Josh Lindo stopped 70 shots out of the 85 that he faced. M3-Embry-Riddle registered zero goals on six power play opportunities.
