M3-Santa Rosa Junior College beats M2 Stanford University 9-5 as Katicich gets hat trick

Matt Katicich lifted M3-Santa Rosa Junior College to a 9-5 victory with a hat trick against M2 Stanford University.

Katicich notched his first tally 12:48 into the first period. He then added goals at 2:32 into the second and at 10:12 into the third.

M3-Santa Rosa Junior College put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow M2 Stanford University to score on any of its four power plays. M2 Stanford University was unable to stop M3-Santa Rosa Junior College from sending pucks towards the net, and M3-Santa Rosa Junior College eventually piled up 46 shots on goal. M3-Santa Rosa Junior College's goal total was higher than its season average. M3-Santa Rosa Junior College averages 6.3 goals per game.

M3-Santa Rosa Junior College also got points from Larry Hansen, who also tallied two goals and one assist, Kurtis Klinger, who also had one goal and one assist, Josiah Nikkel, who also racked up two goals and one assist, and Colin Ridenour, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points.
