Huge game by Zurick boosts M3-Aurora University-Blue over M3-Lewis University, 11-3

M3-Aurora University-Blue's Brandon Zurick had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 11-3 win over M3-Lewis University.

Zurick's tallies came at 1:19 into the second period to make the score 2-1 M3-Aurora University-Blue and 10:50 into the second to make the score 8-1 M3-Aurora University-Blue.

M3-Aurora University-Blue excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. M3-Aurora University-Blue forced M3-Lewis University goalie Kristian Bennett to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots. M3-Aurora University-Blue bested its season scoring average. M3-Aurora University-Blue averages 5.2 goals per game. The defensemen of M3-Aurora University-Blue were also effective in M3-Lewis University's zone, and came away with three goals.

M3-Aurora University-Blue also got points from Paul Mascitti, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Anthony Palermo, who also registered three goals and two assists to lead the team in points, and Ben Stachowiak, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Others who scored for M3-Aurora University-Blue included Dean Zibeli, who had two and Anthony Rohde and Billy Dwyer, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for M3-Aurora University-Blue were Thomas Massman, who had two and Kyle Pierce, Scott Dunham, and Vincent Palermo, who each chipped in one.

M3-Lewis University managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. M3-Lewis University wound up below its season average of 9.0 penalty minutes per game.
