M3-Colorado School of Mines opened up a six-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to a 10-3 win over M3-Fort Lewis College.

Gunnar Merrick was all over the ice for M3-Colorado School of Mines, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Merrick scored the first of his two goals at 45 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 M3-Colorado School of Mines. Mathieu Gauthier Cote picked up the assist.
