M1 Indiana Tech outlasts M3-Central Michigan University, 4-2

M1 Indiana Tech and M3-Central Michigan University were evenly matched throughout their contest, but M1 Indiana Tech made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-2.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Dylan Grant secured the win for M1 Indiana Tech with a goal in the second period.

Giuseppe Molfetta had two goals to lead M1 Indiana Tech to victory. Molfetta found the back of the net 5:33 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M1 Indiana Tech and again while 16:55 into the second to make the score 4-2 M1 Indiana Tech.

M1 Indiana Tech's offense was clicking better than usual and put 39 shots on goal during the game, better than the 7.2 shots per game it averages. M1 Indiana Tech could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

M1 Indiana Tech also got points from Grant, who also had one goal and one assist. Jace Childs also scored for M1 Indiana Tech. More assists for M1 Indiana Tech came via Brian Skillicorn, who had two and Jarrett Pfeiffer, Ryan Theisen, Nicholas Denice, and Alex Gregorich, who contributed one each.

M3-Central Michigan University did not challenge the opposing goaltender, taking only two shots on net to force zero saves. However, M3-Central Michigan University racked up more shots in the game than the 0.1 per game it averages. M3-Central Michigan University's offense revolved around and Kyle Hyde, who put and one shot on net. M3-Central Michigan University's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three M1 Indiana Tech power plays.

M3-Central Michigan University also got a goal from Nathan Allgaier as well. In addition, M3-Central Michigan University received assists from Cody Ferris and Tyler Carr, who each chipped in one.

M1 Indiana Tech ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Childs was ejected from the game. M3-Central Michigan University incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
