M2 Winona State University survived a determined comeback attempt by M2 Bethel University on the way to a 5-3 win.

A goal by Colton Tydrich put M2 Winona State University up 5-1 in the third period, but M2 Bethel University pulled to within two on Luke Small's tally 18:54 into the third period.

Jered McLaughlin had a great game for M2 Winona State University, netting two goals. McLaughlin's tallies came short handed at 3:28 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M2 Winona State University and 14:43 into the second to make the score 3-1 M2 Winona State University.

M2 Bethel University was unable to stop M2 Winona State University from sending pucks towards the net, and M2 Winona State University eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.

M2 Winona State University also got points from Mason Brinkworth, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. K.C. Larson also scored for M2 Winona State University. In addition, M2 Winona State University received assists from Matt Ratzloff, who had two and Ben Selberg, Connor Wilcox, and Anthony Benda, who each chipped in one.

M2 Bethel University also had goals scored by Noah Bragg and Reese Ferrin, who scored one goal each.

M2 Winona State University's Jason Windhorn stopped 26 shots out of the 29 that he faced. M2 Winona State University ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play. Jacob Posner made 33 saves for M2 Bethel University on 38 shots. M2 Bethel University avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays.
