M3-Radford University survived a determined comeback attempt by M3-Old Dominion University on the way to a 6-4 win.

M3-Radford University took a 6-1 lead during the second period, only to have M3-Old Dominion University storm back on a Eric Severo goal 19:05 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

Cole Peterson had a great game for M3-Radford University, netting two goals. Peterson scored at 6:19 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M3-Radford University and again while 4:02 into the second to make the score 5-1 M3-Radford University.

M3-Radford University's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six M3-Old Dominion University power plays. M3-Radford University forced M3-Old Dominion University goalie Warner Thomas to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.
