Gimenez Madill's goals lift M2 North Carolina State University to 8-5 victory over Georgetown University

Luis Gimenez Madill was all over the ice for the M2 North Carolina State University Wolfpack, as he tallied two goals in M2 North Carolina State University's 8-5 win over the Georgetown University Hoyas.

Gimenez Madill scored at 7:19 into the second period to make the score 5-4 M2 North Carolina State University and again while 18:10 into the second to make the score 6-4 M2 North Carolina State University.

The Wolfpack pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 28 penalty minutes.

M2 North Carolina State University forced Georgetown University goalie Benjamin Iguchi to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots.

M2 North Carolina State University additionally got points from Sam Banasiewicz, who also registered two goals and three assists to lead the team in points and Andrew Cooke, who also tallied two goals and two assists. Others who scored for M2 North Carolina State University included Danny Fredenburg and Garrett Sunda, who each put in one. More assists for M2 North Carolina State University came via Simon Lechter, who had three and Michael Krenn and Andrew Kristof, who each chipped in one.

The Hoyas' defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. Georgetown University averages 2.0 goals allowed per game. The Hoyas had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just one goal on 10 chances. Georgetown University could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game.

Joseph Hall recorded 24 saves for the Wolfpack. M2 North Carolina State University registered three goals on 11 power play opportunities. Georgetown University's Iguchi stopped 32 shots out of the 40 that he faced.
