M2 Merrimack College gutted out a close 5-4 win against M2 Saint Anselm College.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Nathan Wawrowski secured the win for M2 Merrimack College with a goal in the third period.

M2 Merrimack College was paced on offense by Dan Resop and Wawrowski, who combined for four points. Resop tallied two goals and one assist and Wawrowski also added one goal.

M2 Merrimack College also got points from Anthony Forman, who also registered one goal and one assist and Chris Mahanna, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for M2 Merrimack College were Peter Lagonegro and Ryan Drizen, who contributed one each and Steven Berry and Derek Madden, who each chipped in two.

M2 Saint Anselm College got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

M2 Saint Anselm College was led by Alec Flynn, who finished with two goals. Flynn scored the first of his two goals short handed at 16:06 into the second period to make the score 3-2 M2 Saint Anselm College. A hooking call on Ethan Iaria put M2 Saint Anselm College on the penalty kill. Flynn's next tally short handed made the score 4-3 M2 Saint Anselm College with 15:43 left in the third period.
