M2 UMass-Lowell pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 15 penalty minutes. M2 UMass-Lowell was led by Garrett Martel, who registered one goal. Martel scored 13:17 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M2 UMass-Lowell. Aiden Campbell picked up the assist. M2 UMass-Lowell put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow M2 Massachusetts Institute of Tech to score on any of its six power plays. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. M2 UMass-Lowell also got points from Tyler Costello, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for M2 UMass-Lowell included Brian Mcsherry and Timothy Tannian, who each put in one. In addition, M2 UMass-Lowell received assists from Michael Cannata, Thomas Mcgovern, and Alex Mosca, who each chipped in one. M2 Massachusetts Institute of Tech stifled M2 UMass-Lowell's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. M2 UMass-Lowell registered zero goals on four power play opportunities.
