Huge game by Banasiewicz boosts M2 North Carolina State University over M2 Elon University, 8-2Iceoplex at Southpointe Sat, Oct 17, 2015 Behind a great game by Sam Banasiewicz, who had four goals and one assist, the M2 North Carolina State University Wolfpack defeated the M2 Elon University Phoenix, 8-2. Banasiewicz's first goal came 19:28 into the first period. He then added goals at 8:27 into the second, at 14:51 into the second, and at 14:52 into the third.M2 North Carolina State University pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 10 penalty minutes. The Wolfpack forced Phoenix's netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, firing 37 shots and forcing 29 saves. Garrett Johnston made 23 stops and Michael Sebetic made six. M2 North Carolina State University stifled M2 Elon University's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
