M3-Colorado Mesa University outlasts M3-Colorado Colo Springs, 4-3

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, M3-Colorado Mesa University escaped with a 4-3 victory over M3-Colorado Colo Springs.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Ryan Johnson at 15:01 of the third period.

In a losing effort, M3-Colorado Colo Springs was sparked by Christopher Muchmore, who grabbed two goals. Muchmore scored the first of his two goals at 13:00 into the second period to make the score 3-2 M3-Colorado Mesa University. Taran Ferdowsian picked up the assist. Muchmore's next tally made the score 3-3 with 11:04 left in the third period. M3-Colorado Colo Springs had gained a power play chance when Hunter Schoepflin was whistled for boarding. Conner Downs assisted on the tally.

M3-Colorado Mesa University was led by Johnson, who registered one goal and one assist.

M3-Colorado Mesa University forced M3-Colorado Colo Springs goalie Brandon Velasquez to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots. M3-Colorado Mesa University got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.
